Peeling with Phenol
Background
Molar solutions of phenol have a pKa of 10 and a pH of 6.

A study of the electronic resonance of ion phenolate shows very high stability and speaks in favour of the separation of phenol into proton and phenolate ion.

Phenol is also called phenic or phenylic acid.
The Chemilift Concept
A. First stage: phenol
As a precautionary measure, the Chemilift concept advocates a concentration of phenol between 30% and 35%, producing a decrease in toxicity.

New: Phenol + Transcutol® (<1%) = intradermal remanence.

Several authors recommend using croton oil as a penetration agent. The drawbacks of croton oil are well known and good judgment recommends another penetration agent, Transcutol®. This penetration agent has a reservoir effect. Its action creates an effect of dermal remanence and, as a result, a prolonged action of phenol without an increase in intrinsic toxicity. It is monoethylic ether of diethylene glycol.
B. Second stage: Chimilift gel
Silicone gel + perfluorocarbon
Antibacterial
Anti-dessicant
Cosmetic compliant
Facilitates the flow of oxygen – healing effect
